A pretty rhodonite wire-wrapped pendant! Rhodonite is a magnesium silicate mineral that often includes significant levels of calcium, magensium and iron. Rhodonite is also called ‘maganolite’ or ‘manganese spar’. Often found in metamorphic rock, rhodonite is classed as an ‘uncommon’ mineral and is found in a number of places around the world, including Australia. It is the state gem of Massachusetts.
This lovely pendant, measuring 50x20mm, is wrapped in antiqued copper and then polished to contrast the stone.
