A spectacular labradorite tree pendant measuring 40x35mm. Labradorite is a form of feldspar. The distinct straight lines in the stone, like you see in this piece, is called ‘twinning’ and it occurs when the planes within the stone align. It has quite a stunning effect! The planes reflect light, resulting in magnificent flashes of colour called labradorescence. Labradorite was first discovered in Labrador, Canada.
This beautiful pendant is wrapped in natural copper which has been antiqued and polished by hand to bring out the detail in the tree that graces the front of the stone. It would make the perfect gift for someone who loves plants or nature.
