Crazy lace agate is a form of banded chalcedony with iron and aluminium which accounts for the vibrant and varied colour bands in the stone, in combinations of creamy brown, pink, red, grey, brown, gold and black. It has a high hardness which means it is a sturdy and long-wearing stone.
