How glorious is this moss agate? Milky white that is luminous with the light behind it, and framed with touches of ‘moss’ at the top right and bottom left. It’s so delicate and gorgeous! Wrapped in natural copper that has been antiqued and hand-polished, the detailed weaving on the sides and the swirled top remind me of a piece from the 1920s. This pendant comes with a complimentary chain.
Moss agate does not actually contain moss! The moss-like elements are minerals that are trapped within the rock, but interestingly the pattern they make really does look like trapped moss. The colour of the ‘moss’ depends on what minerals are encased in the stone. Moss agate usually forms due to volcanic activity. It’s so elegant and pretty!
