This amazing bedrock chalcedony stone looks like a landscape of rock and sky. The top part of the stone is translucent when held up to the light – see the video on this page! The stone is adorned with a tree design and an intricate woven frame, finished with swirls and a copper bead over the bail. The pendant comes complete with a complimentary sliding knot cord necklace which can be adjusted to suit the neckline of your top.
Chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline form of silica composed of two minerals – quartz and moganite. It comes in a wide variety of colours but mainly whites, greys, and browns through to black. The name ‘chalcedony’ comes from the Latin chalcedonius, probably from the town of Chalcedon in Asia Minor.
