This beautiful pendant is made from Owyhee blue opal, a common opal which is found in Owyhee, Oregon in the USA. The stone ranges in blues, blacks, greys and whites, and are often arranged in striking straight bars which contrast each other. Unlike many other stones that can seem similar, Owyhee blue opal has a huge variety of patterns which make each stone a new surprise.
This magnificent pendant measures 61x31mm and is accented by copper beads in two sizes. It is wrapped in raw copper wire which is aged to give it an antique look and then polished by hand, highlighting the intricate design.
