The rainbow moonstone in this piece is a beautiful blue slashed with striking stripes of orange. The reverse teardrop stone is wrapped in a natural copper frame which holds the stone securely. The frame has been antiqued to compliment the stone. This pendant comes with a complimentary sliding knot cord necklace.
Rainbow moonstone comes in a range of colours that are caused by layers of orthoclase layers and inclusions within the stone. When light shines on the stone on certain angles, it reflects off those layers and shows spectacular colours. Technically, rainbow moonstone is more closely related to labradorite than true moonstone.
