This stunning statement pendant is made from an azurite malachite (sometimes called ‘azurmalachite’) stone. Both forms of copper-based minerals, azurite is blue and malachite is green, forming a striking combination when found together. Usually forming in a host rock such as limestone or marble, the copper-bearing water seeps down into the rock where the deposits gather and then harden through time. This stone combination is rarer than its individual counterparts as the conditions have to be right to form both materials at the same location.
This beautiful pendant measures 73x33mm in total. The copper-based minerals are paired perfectly in bright copper. Bright copper will naturally tarnish over time, where the highlights can then be polished with a jewellery cloth to maintain a gorgeous shine.
